We need to receive and process your personal data in order to enter a contract with you, sell you our services and fulfil our insurance and legal obligations. Keeping the data, we collect from you safe, secure and confidential is very important to us. This privacy notice explains how we, Sassy’s Nail, trading as Sassy’s Nails, collect, use and protect any information about you when you use or interact with our website/app or visit Sassy’s Nail.

This privacy notice explains in detail how your data remains confidential when you complete our online appointment forms.

We do not need or store any data that is no longer necessary for the purposes set out in this notice. We do not sell or rent your personal data to any third party.

Booking an appointment

The personal information you provide when you book your appointment online or in the salon is stored by Sassy’s Nails and stored in a secure database within the salon software. This data is accessed by our staff who manage our meetings. We monitor who views this data and it is only accessible through secure passwords.

When you book an appointment on our website, we collect your name, phone number and email address. We need these details so that we can contact you in a timely manner if we need to discuss details of your appointment or booked service in the time between booking and the start of your chosen appointment. We will send you an email with an immediate confirmation of your appointment.

If you book an appointment in person, at our salon or over the phone, we will collect and use the same information in the same way as above.

Health information

Before your service we need to collect basic health information – this is to potentially highlight services that may have a negative effect on your health due to medication you are taking or a medical condition you have. For health and safety reasons, you are required to disclose any medical conditions that may affect or be affected by your service. We cannot start your booked service without this information. We collect this information in our salon immediately before your first service. It is your responsibility to inform us at future appointments if any of these details have changed.

We cannot perform any service without confirmation of your legal age and in some cases, we may require proof of identity to ensure that you are of legal age for the service. We cannot provide services to anyone under the age of 16 without a completed consultation form and this must be provided along with parent/guardian permission.

When we make a request for your health information, the reasons for the request will be clearly stated along with the purposes of the processing. We require your express consent to receive and process your health information.

Your rights as an individual

If your personal information is held by Sassy’s Nail, you hold rights over it.

You have the right to:

Be informed of how your data will be used prior to collection.

Object to us processing the individual’s personal data.

Have personal data corrected where it is incorrect, incomplete or out of date.

Please note that by doing this, you lose records of your health information in connection with any services performed by Sassy’s Nail, which will affect any ability to help you with any medical reactions.

Data sharing

We disclose your personal data to third parties for the purposes of providing our services to you, managing our business and when required by law.

We share your personal data with the following categories of companies:

Booking software companies to facilitate meetings and scheduling.

Payment providers to facilitate payments made to us.

Marketing companies to do effective marketing for our business. We share personal data such as email address with advertising partners, including Google and Facebook, to ensure that relevant ads are shown to the right audience. We only share email addresses in hashed form to enable matching of your email address with an existing customer database so that your email address cannot be used for other purposes. We use cookies that are used to collect data for Google AdWords and Analytics.

This allows us to continuously improve our website and services and provide customers with a better experience. Sassy’s Nail treats personal data confidentially and does not share your personal information with any third party without your prior consent, except as already disclosed in this privacy notice or as part of our legal obligations under relevant data protection laws.

Cookie types we use.

Based on what function cookies have and the purpose for which cookies are used, there are four categories of cookie: strictly necessary cookies, performance cookies, functional cookies and marketing cookies.

Strictly necessary cookies

Are essential in order to enable you to move around the website and use its features. Without these cookies, some services cannot be provided – for example, remembering previous actions (e.g., entered text) when navigating back to a page in the same session.

Performance cookies

Gather information about how a website is used – for example, which pages a visitor opens most often, and whether the user receives error messages from some pages. These cookies do not save information that would allow the user to be identified. The collected information is aggregated, and therefore anonymous. These cookies are used exclusively to improve the performance of the website, and with it the user experience.

Functional cookies

Enable a website to save information which has already been entered (such as usernames, languages choices, and your location), so that it can offer you improved and more personalised functions. For example, a website can offer your local, price-relevant tax information if it uses a cookie to remember the region in which you are currently located. Functional cookies are also used to enable features you request such as playing videos. These cookies collect anonymous information and cannot track your movements on other websites.

Marketing cookies

Are used to deliver adverts and other communications more relevant to you and your interests. They are also used to limit the number of times you see an advertisement and to help measure the effectiveness of advertising campaigns. They remember whether you have visited a website or not, and this information can be shared with other organisations such as advertisers. Cookies for improving group targeting and advertising will often be linked to site functionality provided by other organisations.

Storage of personal information

Where a data processing service provided by a third party is used, we have strict agreements governing the processing of your personal data. These third parties we work with will never share or disclose your personal information and will keep it always secure.

Consequences of not providing your personal information

When we make a reservation, we require certain information, including name, telephone number and email address. We also require medical information in our salon prior to service to ensure that our services cannot affect any health conditions.

You may choose not to provide Sassy’s Nail with any of this personal information, but we will not be able to accept your appointment or provide your service unless you provide this personal information.

Data breaches

In the extremely unlikely event of a data breach, we will notify you within 48 hours. If a data breach occurs, Sassy’s Nails will immediately take action to protect your personal data to the extent possible. If any details are lost that lead to identity theft, we will inform the ICO within 48 hours.

Consent

By agreeing to this privacy notice, you give us permission to process your personal data specifically for the stated purposes. When we ask you for sensitive personal data, we will always tell you why and how the information will be used.

Changes to Privacy Policy

We may change this privacy policy from time to time by posting changes, amendments and additions to this page. If you continue to access our website and use our services after these changes, you will agree to the revised privacy policy.
